Easton Baseball 2006 Season Summary
June 1, 2006
Easton Baseball continued its long standing tradition of success and played towards its goal of being a Championship caliber team. The program continued to be successful with a combined Varsity and JV record of 32-10. The Varsity was able to win a second consecutive Northampton Division crown and played Emmaus for the LVC Championship only to lose a tough one run game 4-3. The Varsity’s lost 5 games by a total of 6 runs. The freshmen program was only 3-10 but were taught well and were a young group with many 8th graders contributing. A second year at that level should make for a much improved record. The coaches at all levels performed their duties admirably and worked extremely hard to bring success to all levels within the program. Greg Hess and Jim Warga have done great things to make the Varsity a strong contender. They are dedicated men who spend limitless hours for Easton Baseball. Scott Ordway, Ben Childs, and Joe Pulcini have continued their success at the JV level on a yearly basis. They run a disciplined, baseball fundamental program. And certainly Jason Mohap, Anthony Wright and Andrew Swavely have taught the beginnings of Easton Baseball at the freshmen level well and are a strong core of coaches. Jason Mohap has moved on to further himself in the coaching ranks and we wish him well. The Varsity team had a tremendous year and below is listed some achievements:
